The Cruiser Emergency Fund exists for moments when the sea takes more than it gives. If you're a cruising sailor facing a genuine emergency, apply below.
Who Qualifies
This fund is for liveaboard and offshore cruising sailors facing genuine emergencies. We review every application personally.
- Medical emergency abroad with no insurance coverage or coverage gap
- Catastrophic vessel damage that leaves you stranded or unsafe
- Emergency repatriation — needing to get home with no means to do so
- Stranded in a foreign port with no access to funds
- Other genuine life-safety emergencies at sea or in a foreign port
This fund does not cover routine maintenance, provisioning, upgrades, or general cruising expenses. Applications are reviewed case by case.

Funds Disbursed

The Cruiser Emergency Fund is held in a dedicated account entirely separate from any personal or business cruising funds. It is never used for Nautism's own sailing expenses under any circumstances.
